FAQ
How do I calculate GST late fees for free?
Enter how many days late your return is and the tax due, and this page applies ₹50 per day (₹20 for a nil return, capped) plus 18% annual interest on the tax — on your device with no upload. This is an estimate for FY 2024-25 pending independent CA review; verify against the latest rules before you file or pay.
How is the interest computed?
Interest is 18% per annum on the outstanding tax, charged for the number of days delayed, calculated on a daily basis.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored, which you can verify by turning off your Wi-Fi.
What is the late-fee cap?
Late fee is capped per return, with lower caps for nil and small-turnover taxpayers. This tool uses the common caps; confirm the exact cap for your case.
Limits
Uses standard per-day fees, caps and 18% interest; special reliefs and category-specific caps need confirmation. Pending review (U7).
