FAQ
How do I calculate gratuity for free?
Enter your last drawn Basic plus DA and your completed years of service — the gratuity appears instantly in your browser with no upload, using the Payment of Gratuity Act formula: salary × 15 × years ÷ 26, capped at ₹20 lakh.
When am I eligible for gratuity?
Generally after five years of continuous service with an employer covered by the Act. The tool flags whether your tenure meets the threshold, and rounds service years to the nearest whole (six months or more rounds up).
Is my salary data uploaded?
No. The calculation runs locally and nothing is stored; it works offline.
Is the ₹20 lakh cap applied?
Yes — the statutory ceiling of ₹20 lakh is applied, so a very high salary and long tenure is capped accordingly.
Limits
Estimate for establishments covered by the Act (26-day divisor); pending CA review. Non-covered employers differ.
