FAQ

How do I calculate FD or RD maturity for free?

Choose FD or RD, enter the amount, rate and tenure, and the maturity value appears instantly in your browser with no upload — with quarterly compounding, the convention most banks use. Interest earned is shown separately.

How is the interest compounded?

Quarterly, which is standard for Indian bank deposits. For an FD the whole principal compounds; for an RD each monthly instalment compounds for its remaining term, which is why the two differ.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The calculation is local and nothing is stored; it works offline.

Is TDS deducted from the interest?

Interest is taxable, and banks deduct TDS once annual interest crosses ₹40,000 (₹50,000 for senior citizens). This tool shows the gross maturity; your net receipt is lower by any TDS.
