How do I find the Unicode code point of a character for free?

Why is an emoji one character but two UTF-16 units?
Many emoji sit above the basic plane and take two UTF-16 code units, even though they are a single code point. This inspector counts by code point and shows the UTF-8 bytes, which is the honest way to see a character's true size.
Is my text uploaded?

Does it show Indian scripts?
