FAQ
How do I generate a colour palette from one colour for free?
Enter a base colour and choose a scheme, and a matching set of colours appears instantly with swatches in your browser — no upload. Copy the hex values straight into your design tokens.
What do the schemes mean?
Complementary is the opposite hue; analogous is neighbouring hues; triadic is three evenly spaced hues; shades darken the base; tints lighten it. Each is computed by rotating or adjusting the base in HSL space.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The palette is generated locally and nothing is stored; it works offline.
Can I export the palette?
Yes — copy or download the hex values to drop into CSS variables or a design system.
Limits
Generates classic colour-theory harmonies from one base. It does not check the palette for accessibility — use the contrast checker for that.
